Anne Braden: Southern Patriot Premiering in Louisville


Appalshop’s latest film release, “Anne Braden: Southern Patriot,” will have its Louisville premiere at the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage on Saturday, August 26 at 3:00 pm. KCAAH is located at 1701 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd. The film is a first person documentary about the extraordinary life of this American civil rights leader and Louisville native. Braden’s story explores not only the dangers of racism and political repression but also the power of a woman’s life spent in commitment to social justice.
