On the May 12 edition (4 p.m.) of Appalachian Attitude, Judge John David Preston will talk about the second edition of his book, The Civil War in the Big Sandy Valley. In addition to a history of the war in this area, this edition has enlistment data on more than 4,000 soldiers who served in Confederate and Union armies from Pike, Floyd, Johnson, Martin and Lawrence counties in Kentucky.
