This edition of Mountain Talk features the panel discussion with the photographer, local filmmakers, journalists and scholars. Stern's photographs document the social and physical landscapes of various eastern Kentucky mining communities during the late 1950s and early 1960s, a time when unemployment was causing devastating poverty in the region.
