Appalshop is in Whitesburg, on the headwaters of the Kentucky River in Letcher County, Kentucky. Whitesburg is located 10 miles south and west of the intersection of US 23 and US 119. US 119 takes you from there down to Whitesburg. At the second (McDonald's on the left, Pizza Hut on the right) of four Whitesburg stop lights, US 119 turns left to cross Pine Mountain. Stay straight on KY 15 bypass.

At the third light, turn left on to Main Street. This will lead you to a stop sign. Go straight there, which will put you on East Main. In a block, East Main turns right and becomes Madison Avenue. Once Madison crosses the Kentucky River bridge, Appalshop will be on your left. Turn left at the Appalshop building and this will lead you to our parking lot. Appalshop is at 91 Madison Street.
